Here is a little of my personal and professional background. I was born in Davis, California and raised in the Coast Range foothills outside of Morgan Hill, California. My mother’s family goes back three generations in Red Bluff, while my father was born in Russia and immigrated to San Francisco with his parents. June and Leon met at UC Berkeley, and after college got right to work making the baby boom ( I have two sisters and three brothers ).
Having traveled extensively in North and South America (before and during college), I really appreciate the value of living in Northern California. My lovely wife Kim and I have a daughter Alina who is 14, and a son Alden who is 11. When we are not working, Kim and I are having the incomparable joy of reliving childhood with our children. Alina loves to be with her horse “Misty” and ride in Bidwell Park. Alina wants to be a Vet. (so far so good). Alden loves baseball, (He must get his talent from Kim).
In 1979 I completed a degree in Ag. Economics at U.C. Davis and went to work for the Farmer’s Home Administration as a loan officer and farm appraiser, working in several Northern California rural communities. In 1983 I moved to Chico to complete a Masters of Business Administration degree. While working on this degree part time, I worked full time as a Residential Energy Auditor & Inspector for PG&E. This involved evaluating and inspecting hundreds of homes in Butte and Glenn Counties, including the attics and crawl spaces. I literally know houses from the inside out.
Entering the Real Estate brokerage field in 1987 full time, I have consistently been a leading agent in the community. I have served in a leadership position with the local and state Association of Realtors, and continue to serve on various committees and boards. I have many years of training & experience in all facets of real estate, and I have been a CSU Chico Lecturer in Real Estate Practice. I will happily provide a list of my past and current clients. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with professional real estate service.
