A little about us:
With an extensive background in accounting, finance and marketing, 2008 is Beth’s 15th year as a full time REALTOR®, GRI. She has held management positions in corporate America, the International Brain Injury Association, and the Dept. of Neurosurgery at the University Of Virginia and worked as a private contractor for the Dept. of Defense. Working in finance, true accountability has been the Bar of Excellence for her career. Her high level of energy and attention to detail are huge assets in this business, especially as the focus grows on customer service, legislative issues and marketing and how they affect the way we interact with buyers and sellers.
Kevin has led quite another role in his career as a Certified Arborist. For more than 30 years he has been at the forefront of the field of Arboriculture with a level of expertise that has rarely been equaled. His long term affiliation with The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and his high standards of customer service have assured his past success and he now looks forward to transferring that level of expertise to our buyer and seller clients by offering his exclusive “Tree and Landscape Assessment”.

Why we decided to do what we do:
Beal and Associates was established by Beth and Kevin Beal out of a desire to provide a higher level of real estate service than what was currently standard in the Central Virginia marketplace. By working together as partners, not a team, our clients are assured the best service available.
To become licensed to sell real estate in Virginia the minimum requirements are to sucessfully complete a real estate principles course and then pass the state exam. Unfortunately, this can lead to failure for many REALTOR® client relationships and provides little in the way of advocacy to the client. To that end, we guarantee the best real estate experience available to you, the real estate consumer, by providing the highest level of service, education beyond the required minimum standards and through our affiliation with ERA Bill May Realty Co. whose buyer and seller resources through ERA are second to none!
What we found when we moved here from Southern New Jersey in early 1996 were things such as shared driveways, shared wells, the granting of “licenses” that were associated with both, general warranty deeds containing English covenants of title, lack of an attorney review period, the Virginia Residential Property Disclosure Act, rollback taxes and so on. And these points aren’t simply lost on someone relocating to the area, if you currently live in the city and have decided to move out into the county or vice-a versa they may all have an adverse affect on the peaceful enjoyment of your home!
