You may have heard of it. You may have seen it, and you might have even tasted it, but not like this!
Killer Key Lime Pie
To make Killer Key Lime Pie is as easy as 1, 2, 6 (or if you can't get key limes, 1, 2, 3) .
For Regular Key Lime Pie:
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk 2 Egg Yolks 1/2 Cup Lime Juice (usually 6 Key Limes or 3 regular Limes)
Blend ingredients together, pour into an 8" graham cracker crust and place in freezer.
To serve: Remove from freezer and let set for 20 minutes at room temperature to get right texture. If you like, garnish with a little whipped cream, a sprig of mint or a thin slice of lime.
For Killer Key Lime Pie:
Double the recipe, make your own graham cracker crust (recipe on the back of box of graham crackers), and use a 9" pie pan (pyrex is best) that's 1-1.5" deep.
Non purists note: Key Lime Pie is not green. It is a pale creamy color. DO NOT ADD FOOD COLORING! Otherwise, people will think you are a snowbird!
This pie was designed to be eaten on a warm sandy beach while looking at a spectacular sunset! Do not accept imitations.
