I was born in Colorado and my family moved to Arizona when I was very young. My father was a Mining Engineer and we moved around all over the state before settling in Scottsdale I graduated from Saguaro high school and attended Scottsdale Community College meanwhile working at a variety of jobs including cashier at the Kachina Theatre and Romano’s T.V. My major studies were in Equine Science. I received my Real Estate sales license after successfully attending Cecil Lawter School of Real Estate in 1980 and practiced for five years. I married my husband Steve then and was just a housewife for a while. Steve was working for a prominent attorney in Phoenix managing a car collection and restoring collector muscle cars. I went back to work starting in the nursery business and worked for V and P nurseries as an assistant greenhouse manager. I attended classes and received my Arizona Certified Nursery Professional status and went to work for Home Depot in the garden department. I worked at a number of different Home Depots including Tempe, Superstition Springs, Alma School, and Ray Road I also learned kitchen design while at Home Depot. Steve and I tired of the heat and congestion in Phoenix and decided to move in a new direction and leave the hustle and bustle of big city life. We discovered our own piece of paradise 15 miles east of Snowflake in 2001, shortly after Sept. 11. That day made us realize there is more to life than working 60 hour workweeks just to pay for stuff and having no time for family and friends. We’ve spent the last two and one half years working together building our house from the ground up. I was lucky enough to meet John Ford and Joel Lawson who encouraged me to regain my Real Estate license and begin a new career here in Snowflake. I have always enjoyed meeting and talking to people and it is a real pleasure when I know I’ve made someone happy.
